Paper lunch bags
These are the biggest favorite here! Pop a brown
bag into each of your cavy's cages and may the rustling and chewing
begin! The piggies love to chew up and hide in these bags, and when
they are demolished - just pop a new on in! |
Hammocks
While some pigs don't figure these out, many do,
and they love to 'chill out' on them. Nothin cuter than little
upturned piggy feet sticking over the edge of the hammock! |

PVC Pipe
These are much-loved by my pigs as well. Make sure the pipes are
big enough for your pigs to go through - not suggested for chubby or
pregnant cavies. The only downside I have noticed to these is that
the pigs tend to go to the bathroom in them and then they get
discolored belly hair.

Cat Toys
The balls that have bells in them are great toys, too. Make sure
that they are well-constructed and won't fall apart. You can leave
them on the floor, or tie them up so they hang from the ceiling. Our
boars seemed to play with these more than our sows. Warning - you
may have to take them out after a while because of the incessant
bell-ringing :P

Igloos
Our pigs like these, too. Some pigs are too large to fit through
the entryway, though.
|
Boxes
Any boxes are fine, you can cut entry/exit ways into the
cardboard (piggies seem to prefer more than one entrance). Make sure
to remove any staples or tape.

Log Hideys/Tunnels
This toy was good, but it was a bit low for some of the adult
pigs.

Cuddle Cups
These are awesome for use during the cold season. Fleece inside,
cotton outside, and pig in the middle :) The pigs love these and
squabble about who gets to use it first. Anything nice and cozy will
do.

If you don't have a C&C cage it's a good idea to
set up an area where your pigs can have 'floor time'. This can be as
simple or elaborate as you like, though the pigs should have enough
room to run around at full stretch. Try to keep toys away from the
edges so the pigs have a perimeter they can do 'laps' around.
