Coronets

Self cavies are cavies whose entire body is one single color. If you aren't sure what color your cavy is, go by eye color. The coat color can be too light or too dark, but eye color will let you know what color it really is.

Beige

The beige cavy has a beige coat with ears and feet to match, and pink eyes. A good beige cavy should be about the color of a brown paper bag.

 

Black

The black cavy should have a jet black coat, with ears and feet to match, and dark eyes.

 

Chocolate

The chocolate cavy is to have a dark, rich chocolate color with matching ears and feet, and dark eyes, with or without a ruby cast.

 

 

Cream

Cream cavies should be a delicate cream shade, ears and feet to match. Dark ears and feet are faulted. Cream cavies' eyes can be pink, dark, or dark with a ruby cast.

 

 

Lilac

A delicate light grayish-purple color coat, with matching ears and feet and pink eyes. Lilac cavies are born dark, and lighten as they get older.

 

REO

The red eyed orange (REO) cavy has a bright orange coat, matching ears and feet, and pink eyes.

 

 

Red

The red cavy has a dark rich red coat, the color of an irish setter. The ears and feet should match, and the eyes are dark.

 

White*

The white cavy should have a bright china white coat, with pink ears and feet. The eyes can be pink, dark, or dark with a ruby cast.
