Rex is my dog, a Border Collie. He is one of the best dogs we've ever had.

Rex's Story
We rescued Rex about 10 years ago, he was crossing a busy street behind a person on a crosswalk. He was not the man's dog, so after much coaxing we were able to lure him into our car with animal cookies. He was shy, nervous, and extremely wimpy. He was so wimpy that every time we tried to have him stand to take pictures for our 'found dog' signs, he would drop down and roll onto his back. We took him home, cleaned him up, and named him 'Rex', after the dog in the new movie 'Babe'.
That week my mom's dog had gone into the hospital for cancer surgery. She needed to come back and rest and not be bothered by a new dog. We had put up signs for Rex, but no one had called. Unfortunately, we had to take him to the pound.
A week or so later we were on vacation in Mammoth, and we had taken my mom's dog with us. Sadly, she passed away while we were there. On the way back, my mom decided to call the pound to see if Rex was available, and if so, we would adopt him.
She called, and they said yes, but put her on hold. We waited and waited, and finally she called them back to double check. They couldn't find Rex's number, they told her that sorry, but that dog was no longer in their system. They did look, though, and found him. He was being taken to be put to sleep.
I am so glad we were able to rescue Rex, he has been such a good dog. Below are some of the many things we've done together, and some of our prizes we've won through 4-H and AKC dog shows.
