Mandarin Goby fish

About Me:

I first fell in love with Marine aquariums and fish/invertebrates the summer of 2005, when I, ignorantly, bought a 10-gallon fish tank. I filled it with salt water and bought two Electric Blue Damselfish, and eventually a Mandarin Goby. One of the fish had a disease and died. It caused an enormous ammonia spike and killed the others. I learned from that experience to get the biggest aquarium for your budget.

About my goals:

Since then, my knowledge of marine fish and invertebrates has been rapidly growing. I now have a 40-gallon marine aquarium, and hope to get a bigger one in the future. In it I have a Clown Fish, a Blue Chromis, two Turbo snails and five hermit crabs. I recently purchased a dual satellite hood with two bulbs, one actinic and one daylight. It puts out a wattage of 192. Algae has been growing like crazy, and I hope to get anemones or coral in the near future.
