"Rumblestrutting"

Above: my Silkie boar,
Charmont
Description: Swaying back and forth slowly; head low;
'purring'
Reason: Boars do this when showing how tough or
'handsome' (*ahem*) they are. Sows in heat will also do this.
Sniffing

Description: Sniffing other pigs, neck stretched out,
ready to back away if needed.
Reason: Well this one's pretty obvious: to find out more about the
other pig or an object/toy. A lot of the time when sniffing an object they rub
their lips back and forth on it - this is because they have a great sense of
feeling in their lips and it helps them to figure out more about that particular
thing. They will often bite as well, because to them everything is a snack until
proven otherwise.
Follow the leader

Description: One pig will break away from the group and
others will follow in a single line.
Reason: Pigs are social animals, find comfort in
numbers, and stick together. Babies will follow their momma in the same way.
Nibbling ears

Description: 'Pig one' will go up to 'pig two' and take
their ear between their teeth, usually pulling up on and then letting go of the ear.
Reason: Can be done as a greeting, or a dominance thing.
Some pigs will also pull on fabric (towel, blanket, your shirt). If your pig is
actually biting or nibbling on you and they don't do that normally, that is
usually a sign that they have to go to the bathroom. If you don't put them back
in their cage quickly, well...
Greeting

Description: coming to the front of the cage, whistling
loudly
Reason: They are greeting you, happy to see you, and
are hoping you have brought them something to eat. They are always hoping you've
brought something to eat. They will train you to come when they whistle. No
joke.
'Popcorning'
(no photo available)
Description: Pig will suddenly jump up, twist, and land. May run
around and shake its head and make little jumps - looks kind of like it's
having a seizure.
Reason: the pig is having fun and releasing pent up
energy, kind of like a rolling and bucking horse
