Storybook's Jocasta

Eventual Brood sow

REO/White

Cederdahl's Boar + Storybook's Artemis

Nice. I needed a van, and along came this cutie. Out of my stellar Am. Satin sow and outcross boar. Most of my sows are heavily marked, and I think she will add a breath of fresh air to my line.

If you like literature you'll get her name. You may have to do a bit of digging, and I realize it's a bit reversed: but it amuses me. English nerd, yes.

Storybook's Peaseblossom

Eventual Show and Brood sow

REO/Lilac/White

Storybook's Chester Morris + Storybook's Cobweb

Accidentally kept her, meant to sell her. Glad she stayed! She's got a gorgeous roman nose, and the big, beefy-but-streamlined type that I love. Not much for markings, but her lilac is light and pretty. Will be a nice brood sow.

Storybook's Lady of Shalott

Eventual Show and Brood sow

REO/'Leige'/White

Cederdahl's Boar + Storybook's Passionate

Her color is dark, but it looks like she might be lilac rather than beige. Time will tell. She has minimal patching, but  it's very blocky and clean, and her type is amazing. I was debating whether or not to keep her, but I really need a sow with more white for my breeding program, and her type is too good to pass up. Her head is a little rounder than I like, but she'll be bred to boars with longer noses.

Storybook's Helen of Troy

Show and Brood sow

REO/Beige/White

Storybook's Romeo + Storybook's Cobweb

Nice sow, great type/ears, and she's got a head that will develop nicely. I really like her beige color, and though she does have a few spots of intermingling, she is really a nice sow.

Storybook's Cobweb

Show and Brood sow

2 Legs - REO/Beige/White

Storybook's Tough Love + Storybook's Trixie

Her color is not good - the beige fades pretty badly. However, her markings are very nice, and she has already won two legs as an intermediate and junior. Nice dividing lines.

Storybook's Trixie

Show and Brood sow

3 Legs - REO/Beige/White

Storybook's Romeo + Storybook's Pixie

REO/Beige/White sow, typey, nice patching but her head is a little long. The only surviving sow from Pixie's last litter, Trixie is going to be her mother's replacement. She has more white than her brother, and very nice patching.

KCC's Coraline

Eventual Show and Brood sow

Silver Solid

KCC's Saint George (SA) + KCC's Prancer (DS)

A wildcard addition to my Agouti program. Wonder what colors we will get... :)

I needed to improve the type of my GA's, and she's got great type. Her dam was a DS as well, and won BIS. When she was younger she was almost a beige color, but she's darkening up and her ears and feet are jet black now. I guess that's how some silver solids develop.

Storybook's Guinevere

Show and Brood sow

Golden Agouti - 1 leg/RIS

Storybook's Donovan + KCC's Coraline (SS)

This sow is put together very nicely, though her red is a little too yellow. I was going to sell her, but decided to try showing her once. She got RIS.

I'm keeping her.

Paxson's Bet

Eventual Show and Brood sow (Satin Carrier)

Dilute Agouti

Lilac base/orange tips

?'s American Satin Lilac + Touchette's Lilac Sow

Oops. I caved in.

When I saw them, I had to have one. And then I had to have two - because what if something happens to one?

I think this is a Lilac/Orange. I also bought a boar (her brother) who is definitely a Beige/Orange. I am excited because I have never seen this combination of Agouti, and I love the pink-eyed pigs. And these are my colors. I am excited, too, because these are satin carriers.

I also realize why these aren't very popular. Their markings are very hard to see. We'll just have to see how it goes. They look like Tans, but they aren't. There IS tipping (see photo for some idea - yes, it's faint, but it's there).
